Light and Healthy: 10 Minute Marinara

So, its a well known fact that all of the blood in my body is acutally marinara sauce! lol Seriously though, I love Italian food, and a ton of great recipes start with a seriously mean marinara! But not everyone has the time or the desire to make 4 hour marinara. But I have a recipe that I have always used that makes people MELT for Marinara! And......it only takes 10 minutes!
Oh, and it has a ZERO points value!

10 minute marinara
grocery list:
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tsp minced garlic
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes
1/4 tsp each Italian seasoning, salt, sugar and freshly ground pepper

How to make it:
1. Heat oil in a saucepan. Add onions and garlic; cook 4 minutes.

2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, 6 minutes.

**Plan ahead: Use half the sauce for 1 lb pasta, then refrigerate the rest up to 1 week, or freeze.
